Safety of our participants is our top priority and this part of the world is very safe. The itinerary has been designed to take quiet backroads to avoid traffic and you will be travelling with experienced leaders. The villages are very safe, however, a trip like this comes with risks that any similar active trip may pose. We need that you follow the instructions of our Trip Leaders at all times for your own safety.
To make the best of this cycling challenge, we recommend that you train a bit to physically prepare yourself before the start of this trip. With an average cycling distance of 40km per day, on a flat terrain, this trip is of moderate difficulty and suitable for beginners. However, the support van will follow the group throughout the trip and you can opt to travel in the van should you not feel up to it on some occasion.
Yes, simple vegetarian food will be available on this trip. However, the style and cuisine is local and choices are fairly limited for vegetarians in this part of the world. We strongly recommend that you keep an open mind as this will help you cope with the whole experience. If you have any special dietary requirements or food allergies, do inform us prior to the trip so we can try to meet your needs.
Yes, both countries require a different visa. Even though Cambodia has visa on arrival, we prefer that everyone arranges their visa prior to the trip. Visa application process for both countries is simple and DoTheDifferent can help you with this.
